I've done a year end review only once or twice in the 7 years I've had this blog, but honestly this year there's not that much to review. I only made 15 things, a few of which were maternity that never got worn (which is why I don't make maternity) and a few were dresses for my daughter. I was pregnant most of the time and either had low energy or no mojo. HOWEVER, this year I am determined to sew more and try to do a better job of keeping up with this blog.
To that effort, here's what I wore today running around doing errands with my kids. I'm wearing my Vogue 1367 blouse that I made while pregnant, which really is a great item to throw on with a pair of skinny jeans and boots and run out the door.
My 10 year old took these pictures and I think he did a pretty great job. |
I love it, Amanda. Putting the chil'ren to work :-) I also like your tunic too. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteThanks Renee! He wasn't too thrilled about it though.
DeleteHappy New Year Amanda!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see all your gorgeous makes this year.
Thank you Kyle! Hope I can be super productive and turn out some real winners!
DeleteLovely outfit, and your photographer is doing a wonderful job! Happy New Year to you, and looking forward to seeing your creations in 2015!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ann!
DeleteWhat a great look! I imagine you always look lovely and put together. And great job, photographer! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Sonja!
DeleteHappy New Year and I look forward to your sewing in 2015. You amaze me with the quality of your items - especially knowing how busy you are with your family.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Beth!
DeleteI love the top -- you look great! Happy new year!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI think Master Photographer did a great job - perhaps he can be promoted to full time?? Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteThanks Vicki! I think he would protest too much if I asked for full time. ;)
DeleteHappy New Year Amanda! Your photographer did a great job.
ReplyDeleteThank you Kelly!
DeleteLove that blouse! Did you make that cute jacket? Love the photos. Great job.
ReplyDeleteNope, just the blouse. Someday maybe I will have the time to sew complete outfits. I will have to figure out pants first though. Thanks Tamara!
DeleteYou had sooo much going on in 2014, I'm amazed that you sewed as much as you did! Best wishes in the new year, and I look forward to seeing your projects unfurl.
ReplyDeleteThanks June!
DeleteHappy New Year to you, Amanda, as you continue to sew lovely garments amidst the pressure of raising 4 children - I don't know how you do it!
ReplyDeleteKaren
Thanks Karen! My secret is I'm a bit of a night owl and like to stay up sewing while all the children are sleeping. ;)
DeleteYour 10 year old is a much better photographer than my husband! Happy New Year and I look forward to another year of inspiration from you - quality not quantity is a good way to go!
ReplyDeleteHaha, hopefully your husband is more willing then my son! Also I did a fair bit of cropping.
DeleteGreat look! I totally agree with you, mojo is an important part of sewing it seems.
ReplyDeleteThanks Toocutedobs!
DeleteLove that top!
ReplyDeleteThank you Amy!
DeleteLooking good Amanda! But I can't imagine having time to sew with a new baby! I guess time management would be the answer but I can't help remembering how unmanaged my time was when I was the mother of three little ones!! Looking forward to seeing a pic of your baby soon ???
ReplyDeleteThanks Diana! He is sleeping through the night now, so that is definitely helping me feel rested and able to get through my daily tasks. Also my kids are pretty spread out and the older two are away at school during the day. And I will post a picture of him soon! They are mostly on my phone and I don't know how to transfer them to my computer to post on the blog. (I'm not the most technically savvy person when it comes to that stuff.)
