It's looking like it's well made but just needs the final finishing of blocking, which will make a HUGE difference!Trixiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04405956286050242058noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3357280502639180937.post-64454108761407023752008-10-08T06:20:00.000-05:002008-10-08T06:20:00.000-05:00It always helps me when substituting yarn to know ...It always helps me when substituting yarn to know what the original yarn "feels" like. I look for it at my local yarn shop and if not try to get as much info about feel and drape before I find something similar. Just matching the gauge has led me into poor substitutions!Lisette Mhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13332082021185663844noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3357280502639180937.post-77433677584478269352008-10-07T07:31:00.000-05:002008-10-07T07:31:00.000-05:00Marta,Yes, I was going to wear it over a shirt. I was just thinking that maybe being a little big would be okay in that case.martazhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15442763326335908420noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3357280502639180937.post-42091627881089555622008-10-06T20:31:00.000-05:002008-10-06T20:31:00.000-05:00Oh...so sorry Amanda. It's probably not much consolation, but I'm sure you learned a lot by the process...so it's not all in vain.

Since I'm not really a knitter I don't know what to suggest other than taking measurements as you go along so that maybe you can make adjustments before the end??

Also, if the yarn happens to be wool, perhaps it would shrink some in steaming/blocking. Just a thought.

Love, Momkaydee11https://www.blogger.com/profile/14763627095525813232noreply@blogger.com
