It's a great idea since so many patterns are cut rather low these days.

Shannon FShannonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07021958528271756631noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3357280502639180937.post-79351208384269529872008-07-02T14:24:00.000-05:002008-07-02T14:24:00.000-05:00I found your blog through Patternreview - thanks f...I found your blog through Patternreview - thanks for the nice comment on my latest project. I love NL 6515 on you - very cute and not maternity at all! You are right - it helps not to have any gathering under the band - I will remember that as well for future tops that could potentially look that way!

RobinMCPA on PatternreviewRobinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11133547765222326544noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3357280502639180937.post-59337851359567060282008-06-30T15:30:00.000-05:002008-06-30T15:30:00.000-05:00i was just trying to be funnier than it might have...i was just trying to be funnier than it might have come out. :) i think you choose clothes that are very beautiful for your body type - YOU LOOK GREAT!

i do need a looser fit because of my body type and have been thankful that there are options that are more flattering than the straight styles from a few years ago... WISH i could wear some of them, but ah, genetics would not allow for it. :)

i love dove's new beauty campaign with normal looking women - that EVERY woman deserves to feel beautiful... full dresses or tailored... freckles or tanned... curly or straight... tall or short... too skinny or with a little extra padding :) slim-fitting or full and flouncy - we ALL deserve to FEEL beautiful!heidi johttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03158284167747831121noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3357280502639180937.post-64295029103323176992008-06-29T16:10:00.000-05:002008-06-29T16:10:00.000-05:00Rhonda,No the ties aren't necessary, but they do c...Rhonda,
No the ties aren't necessary, but they do cinch the dress in a bit and gives you more of a waist.

Heidi,
I know that looser fit looks good on some people. I don't hate it, I just don't like it on me. I DO like that there are choices out there for people who aren't in high school and don't want to wear skin tight clothing. It's nice to see tunic length tops on girls instead of the belly button exposure of past years, KWIM? I did wear this dress out for dinner before I put in the middle piece, and felt the world was staring at me. So DH and I usually see eye to eye on modesty issues.

Hugs,
AmandaAmanda S.https://www.blogger.com/profile/05591040347020137293noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3357280502639180937.post-53595093236714073662008-06-29T14:55:00.000-05:002008-06-29T14:55:00.000-05:00i don't think it looks the slightest bit maternity...i don't think it looks the slightest bit maternity. then again, the clothes i'm wearing these days are probably the little dresses you have an utter distaste for - but that are figure friendly for me :) BUT maybe that makes me an expert - your dress looks NOTHING like some of the sundresses i'm wearing these days.. you're doing fine. :)

i love the fabric - pretty!

and i give you an A+ for trusting hubby on the modesty advice. good choice. :)heidi johttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03158284167747831121noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3357280502639180937.post-89671960562404518392008-06-29T14:50:00.000-05:002008-06-29T14:50:00.000-05:00Hi Amanda!!
