Stick a fork in me...
I'm D-O-N-E done. What do you think? Much of a change? There are still a few wrinkles back there, but I just don't care. I love this dress and know I've given it my best. Next time I do bias it darn sure won't have a center back seam.

There are noticeably a lot less wrinkles. The little bit that's still there, I don't think anyone will notice unless you point it out. They don't look bad. The dress looks fabulous.
I honestly didn't notice the wrinkles in the first dress until you pointed them out. The dress is fantastic. I can't wait to see your review on the pants. I have always had trouble making pants. That Vogue pattern has always appealed to me.

I am working on Simplicity 3956 (view d, with the straps) and very frustrated with not only the bias/zipper/back thing, but also fitting the bodice on my small chest! There always seems to be something, huh?

That is a big improvement. Although I think it was better fitting than most RTW the first time round, I can see a big difference. Looks great! Good fix!
I doubt anyone would have noticed the wrinkles in your first version but you have done a great job with the re-work and, now, it really does look fantastic. This dress is so beautiful and fits you perfectly. I love it.
Lovely dress. Like many others said, I did not notice the wrinkles until you pointed them out. We sewist are very hard on ourselves.

Pants have been a hard fit on me (very flat rear end) I have to say that I became very obsessive about looking at wrinkles on rear ends, and let me tell you that this is nothing, nothing compared to the rear ends I've seen! It looks like the bubbles you have now are from the bottom of the invisible zipper.
Have you sewn both side of the bottom to the sas? This helps. The really hard part is matching your crossing seams which you have done really well. Let it be, no one, but no one except another compulsive sewer will notice.

Nice fix-looks much better. As Nancy said, no one will notice those winkles except a compulsive sewer. Enjoy wearing your fabulous dress!
